Why do you choose Accounting for your studies?

Many students choose this subject because they think it is about mathematics. Or they think it is an easier form of mathematics.

Accounting is not purely Mathematics! It is about business concepts that are applicable in the real world.

For secondary or polytechnic students or young learners, they try to make sense out of these concepts using their limited knowledge of the real business world but end up with confusing results. With failing grades, they start to feel demoralized. To make matters worse, they may already find their accounting lessons a bore and switch off during lessons.

Some students told me they do not like their teacher. They do not understand their teacher during lessons. Their teachers are not helpful and unapproachable. (Yes, some teachers do not have the passion to teach. They just want to earn a decent salary every month. A teaching pay in government school is good enough for a decent standard of living, I must say.) Some teachers lose patience when facing a big group of students with varying levels of attitude and aptitude.

However, no matter how students dislike this or that, their dear grades are at stake! If you dislike Accounting, sad to say, you still have to endure the learning process. In order to get out of difficulty, you really have to go through it.
